2026 Season

CDT is honored to be joining the broader Capital Region's robust theater community with a full year of programming in 2026. Moving forward, CDT will adopt a semi-professional resident theater model, beginning with 3 seasons worth of productions and programs next year.

Spring 2026

A professional experience for all ages

Led by Brady Walsh (Stage & Musical Director) and Alex "Vandy" van den Heever (Producer), this production will have roles for adults, teens, and children; a locally hired design & production team; full 15-piece orchestra; and professional performers in select roles who will offer educational opportunities while they are in residence with us.

Kick-off our 15th Anniversary Season

We will be scheduling around school musicals and the beginning of the summer Carpe season to make this opportunity work for as many individuals as possible:

  • Auditions: January dates TBD
  • Rehearsals: Off-site rehearsals in late April
  • Load-in to Round Lake Auditorium: May 2-3
  • Dress Rehearsals: May 4-13
  • Performances: May 14-17

Roles for everybody

In addition to the casting opportunities listed above, we will also be opening up our staff to include Assistant positions. Students who have completed 10th grade and beyond are eligible to apply for paid positions as:

  • Assistant Director
  • Assistant Music Director
  • Assistant Choreographer
  • Assistant Stage Manager

FALL 2026

Synopsis

The rehearsal hall closes in an hour, and the BFA musical theatre students desperately need one final rehearsal before their morning flight to NYC, after all, tomorrow is their college Senior showcase. But when their aloof professor is nowhere to be found, the class is forced to take both matters into their own hands and their artistic futures as well. Showcase: A Rehearsal Musical examines the hilarity of being a performer, pressures of the industry, and the joy of what it means to dream big-all while crossing your fingers in the hopes that it comes true.
