TREE has a mission to provide a comprehensive and unique technical theater experience for interested students in grades 6-12.
By the end of the 4-week program, campers will have functioning knowledge of several disciplines of technical theater and be responsible for running tech for CDT's two mainstage productions.
The beautiful Round Lake Auditorium employs a full array of technical equipment to produce a season of dynamic programming. From 30-person master classes to full-house performances, TREE campers will learn techniques for audio design, lighting, properties, and more for any kind of event they may encounter as technical theater personnel.
A full PDF schedule can be found below, outlining the anticipated curriculum:
WEEK 1 | Evening classes with Guest Faculty
WEEK 2 | Build sets for shows & prep lights/sound for Benefit Concert at Camp
WEEK 3 | Prepare backstage area, review lights/sound for shows, & finish props at Camp

Travis has been around theater tech since he was 10 years old. He has developed a great passion for the subject throughout the years. He has gone as far as having his own company to deal in many areas of the subject, but has always favored audio. He is excited to become part of the learning process for those growing up with a desire to get involved on this side of productions. Travis hopes to be a great resource for those involved and to see you grow into a passion that has brought him into his own company and many opportunities to see and do things that many people do not have the chance to experience.
